Emergency:

The BMC Emergency Department is fully staffed 24 hours a day by physicians and nurses who are prepared to handle virtually any emergency in a fast and efficient manner. When you or your family are sick or hurt, you want help fast. At BMC, we realize that every second counts in an emergency. The Emergency Care team is comprised of Registered Nurses, License Vocational Nurses, Laboratory and X-ray personnel and a physician board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.  

The department is equipped to handle routine emergencies as well as complex medical, surgical and trauma care. Our staff takes a family-focused approach to care by involving family members in the patient's treatment plan. And we work closely with your primary care physician on your follow up care. Even though some patients may require transfer to a larger medical facility, the care and stabilization services provided by the BMC Emergency Care Team save lives.  

Because of our commitment to the health of the community, no patient is ever turned away from our Emergency Departments for any reason. We treat all patients regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, nationality or ability to pay. 

Ambulance services with Advanced Life Support personnel are available 24 hours a day.
